CWHCM 2009 Scholarship winner
Connecticut Women in HealthCare (CWHCM.org) announced the winners of the 2009 CWHCM Scholarship. The CWHCM Scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a deserving woman undergraduate or graduate student who demonstrates a commitment to a career in healthcare management.
For 2009, CWHCM, received a number of applications from students at four different colleges and universities across Connecticut. Selection criteria include academic performance, letters of recommendation, and a short essay.
We are pleased to award two $500 scholarships to Meghan Krodel and Amanda Francini. Meghan is a graduate student at UCONN pursuing a MBA in Healthcare Management. Meghan works as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Connecticut Children's Medical Center.
Amanda is an undergraduate student at Sacred Heart University majoring in psychology and occupational therapy. She expects to graduate in 2011.
Both women were chose for the academic accomplishments as well as significant volunteer services to their communities.
