Carla Taymans, MHA, CPC

Carla Taymans, MHA, CPC is the Interim Business Manager at Medical Oncology & Hematology P.C. In addition, she provides consultative services to a variety of community based providers in the areas of new practice start-up, operational and strategic assessments, regulatory compliance issues, policy and procedure development and information management. She develops customized training programs for all members of the healthcare team from physician to the front desk including HIPAA, customer service, insurance, billing, coding and documentation.

Ms. Taymans has worked extensively in a variety of settings including primary care, pediatrics, behavioral health, physical therapy as well as various specialties. She consulted with the Hospital of Saint Raphael's MSO to develop and implement a Central Billing Office while attending Quinnipiac University where she earned a Masters Degree in Health Administration. Ms. Taymans became a Certified Professional Coder in 2003.

Ms. Taymans is an active member of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), the Connecticut Medical Group Management Association (CMGMA), the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), and the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
