Linda J. Milton, MPH, ACHE, CPHQ
Linda Milton holds a Master Degree in Public Health, Hospital Administration from Yale University School of Medicine. Her undergraduate Degrees are in Health Care Administration (Quinnipiac) and accounting/finance (AS Mitchell College) . She is a licensed nursing home administrator in the State of Connecticut and holds both the ACHE certification and CPHQ designations.
Linda joined CWHCM in 1983 when she served as an Assistant Administrator at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. Subsequently she moved to Aetna and held many positions in managed care product development both on the local and national scene. She is the principal for Quality Care Initiatives- a consulting firm that specializes in NCQA compliance originally managing accounts for facilities that have eventually become HealthNet.
Beginning in the late 1990's Linda transitioned to the information technology arena participating in the design and quality assurance aspects of health care web based applications for Aetna- web based utilization management, national provider database, provider portal Web front ends- and then into a Project Management Organization (PMO) focus. Linda represented Aetna at the ANSI X12N Workgroup sessions and chaired the workgroup that developed the National Provider Taxonomy applied today for EDI transactions. She has served in the IT Project Management Office at the Travelers, implemented NPI at Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Massachusetts, and currently is a Project Test Lead/Manager at CIGNA Healthcare in Bloomfield.
Linda's daughter Whitney is a student in Quinnipiac University's Accelerated Nursing program and her son, Michael, is an investment banker based in NYC. Linda travels to NYC to baby-sit her new Granddaughter, Maggie Lucy O'Hara, as often as possible. Hobbies include costuming youth and adult productions, seamstress work including custom draperies and upholstering, tutoring students in Math; gardening, teaching Sunday School and music to children and an active gym membership.
