Now a private consultant to providers, payers and pharma, Dawn Holcombe's twenty-nine years in healthcare have included executive, strategic, financial, and marketing positions in academic and private health systems as well as physician practices. She is a past President of the national Administrators in Oncology Hematology Assembly (AOHA) of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), an Editorial Board Advisor for national monthly publications including "Community Oncology" and "Hematology Oncology News and Issues" and serves on the Boards of the national Community Oncology Alliance (COA) and the Hematology/Oncology Managers of New York (HOMny). She was also recently Senior Vice President for Payer Relations and Quality Programs for both Supportive Oncology Services and its large network of affiliated oncology practices and the Cancer Clinics of Excellence, as well as Executive Director for the Oncology Network of Connecticut, LLC for over a decade (which was recently disbanded in favor of a single CT oncology voice, the Connecticut Oncology Association).
As the continuing Executive Director for the Connecticut Oncology Association, she also represents the state for American Society of Clinical Oncologists (ASCO) and Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC) activities. Dawn has held other state and national positions in MGMA, as well as several healthcare professional organizations. She is a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE), and earned her MBA at the University of Michigan. Her fellowship paper for ACMPE was entitled: "The Evolution of Community Oncology Care and its Threatened Extinction through Federal and Private Payment Reform." Dawn has published extensively focusing in Oncology arena and has extensive contact in the field.
